Temperature Ranges
Here is a list of mushrooms and there temparature ranges.
http://www.fungi.com/cultures/cultures.html
It would be nice to have one with a wide range of tempature or perhaps I should select what I am growing according to the season.
Pink Oyster when hot, button or portobello or other oyster when cooller.

Portobello
This is a wonderful site about this mushroom. My girls love this mushroom and it is easy to cook with. This is a wonderful site about it this has some good information on the protobello.

What Next?
Ok the question is what to do next.
I think my sister would like some of the portobello mushrooms.

I would like these too, but I still have some questions on my mind as to how to grow them.

Getting Closer to Making Agar Medium
Hopefully after tomorrow all I will need is the malt powder. It would be cool if it arrived by this weekend.
12 gms agar - Hope to get this tomorrow Mother Nature Tomorrow
12 gms light malt powder - Ordered from Baker's Supply
0.5 gm processed nitrogen source (rotate between gelatin, soy milk powder, milk powder, low
sodium soy sauce, etc.) - Plan to use milk powder
5-7 wood fuel pellets (0.15 oz, or 4.25 grams) - Hope to get from Ace Hardware off Even Mill Road
small chip (0.1 gm? enough to turn the solution slightly yellow) from synthetic B vitamin complex pill - Get from CVS by my house
1 liter clear water, free of particulates - this I have (should I try to buy some spring water instead?)
Also need a scale that is acurate down to 1/2 a gram. Bought from Target yesterday.
Bought a Scale from Target
Another Source for Dry Light Malt Extract
The Shaman Shop is another source for dry malt extract. This is expecially for making the agar formula. It is $14.70 for 8 ounces. What Highly Hydroscopic?
